Configuration Reference

Every option lives in configuration.yml, with sensitive values referenced out into secrets.yml. If you have not created those files yet, start with First Configuration.

How to read the examples

Every page follows the same convention:

  • An uncommented line is one you have to set yourself. Either the service refuses to start without it, or the feature stays switched off until it is there.
  • A commented line is optional, and the value shown is the default that applies when you leave it out.

So the shortest working configuration is every uncommented line and nothing else.

Basic settings

These sit at the top level of configuration.yml.

interval drives everything: the Modbus poll, the monitoring poll, and the rate at which raw samples are written to storage.

Location

Required once you enable weather or forecast, and ignored otherwise. There is no default.
